Contemporary Design and Finely Crafted Interiors Welcome Growing Clientele

C3 Construction was recently selected as the General Contractor for a new MidFirst Bank location at 75th Avenue and Cactus. C3 Construction is partnering with Scottsdale-based architect Nelsen Partners and MidFirst Bank’s subcontractors on the project, which will serve banking customers in the West Valley.

“While we have tremendous experience in the banking construction industry, this will be our first collaboration with MidFirst Bank,” explains Troy Hill, C3 Construction Business Development. “Our reputation enabled us to be part of their rigorous bid process – but our experience, technical knowhow and accurate pricing secured the win.”

The Build

As part of the 4,000 SF MidFirst Bank renovation C3 Construction:

  • Is demolishing the majority of the existing structure      leaving only one wall and a third of the original foundation.
  • Creating a fully automated office system, with lighting      and mechanical systems controllable from the corporate office.
  • Incorporating multiple      high-end finishes to create a feeling of modern refinement.
  • Installing the latest      banking technology to serve MidFirst Bank’s savvy clientele.

Challenges and Solutions

Several challenges exist for the MidFirst Bank project surrounding the site, coordination of multiple teams and ensuring the final look reflects MidFirst Bank’s quality reputation and branding.

  • Site Management: The project site is surrounded by several      tenants that can’t be inconvenienced by additional traffic, noise or dust      during regular business hours. Although the site is a very tight space      without much room to spread out, C3 Construction is carefully coordinating      subcontractor schedules to ensure only necessary personnel, equipment and      supplies are on site at one time.

  • Integrating Elements: The sophisticated interiors of this      MidFirst Bank building incorporate more than 20 different high-end      finishes including multiple types of floor tiles, lush carpeting, solid      wood floors, fabric ceiling panels and perforated metal ceiling panels. C3      Construction is meticulous in all installations for seamless transitions      and a level of craftsmanship that will welcome guests and clients the      moment they step inside.

  • Coordinating Contractors: One of the biggest challenges on      projects with multiple partners is ensuring communication and planning is      properly coordinated. C3 Construction’s experience with similar projects      has prepared it to keep critical decision –makers informed without slowing      down the build timeline.

48th Banking Project

“The MidFirst Bank project marks the 48th banking build for C3 Construction,” added Hill. “While we appreciate each new project and have been privileged to build high-quality financial institutions throughout the region, we feel this project will showcase our skills and expertise at a whole new level.”

C3 Construction Completes Boys and Girls Club Dental Clinic in Phoenix

State-of-the-Art Facility Gives Low-Income Families New Opportunities

C3 Construction recently partnered with The BCA Companies, a Phoenix-based architectural firm, to design and build a contemporary 10-chair dental clinic for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix (BGCMP).

“C3 Construction was privileged to be chosen for this important build,” explains Matt Westmoreland, C3 Construction senior project manager. “We collaborated with BGCMP’s construction management team to significantly streamline this complex project and help low-income families that otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford necessary dental care.”

The Build

As part of the 2,200 square foot addition to an existing municipal building, C3 Construction:

  • Installed the      latest medical technology to ensure the new 10-chair facility surpassed      industry standards.
  • Upgraded the building      exterior, including an entire facelift so the addition would seamlessly      blend.
  • Completed the project with      exterior site improvements including new sidewalks and landscaping.

Challenges and Solutions

With any medical office build, there are many technical requirements to fulfill. For the BGCMPs dental clinic project, C3 Construction focused on detailed planning and superior craftsmanship to exceed industry and safety standards.

  • Site Management: Site management for medical projects requires      the highest level of care. Layout has to be perfect, pipes are evacuated      to ensure zero contaminants and the inspection and approval process is      extremely rigorous. C3 Construction’s past experience with medical      projects allowed the team to successfully lead all partners through this      multifaceted, often complex process.

  • Precise Placement: C3 Construction was meticulous with      plumbing plans and installation to ensure the water, compressed air and      other dental needs were correctly roughed-in. Dental facilities require      multiple elements to be roughed-in through a very tight space leaving zero      margin for error. However, C3 Construction was up for the challenge with      its experienced team.

  • Finishes, Lighting and Safety: C3 Construction ensured      stringent safety requirements were met throughout installation of      lighting, flooring and finishes. Epoxy floors and other non-porous      finishes were selected for hygienic, easy to clean surfaces. Structural      steel modifications were also made to adequately support the installation      of heavy procedural lighting, (surgical lighting) which weighs around 400      pounds.

  • Offsite Work: In addition to the actual project site, C3      Construction coordinated with the City of Phoenix for necessary offsite      work. Since this was an addition onto an existing building, C3      Construction was required to cut into water and sewer services from the      street. C3 Construction’s seasoned team confidently coordinated these      additional details with City of Phoenix Development Services.

  • Business as Usual: It was critical that surrounding city      services remained operational throughout the build. Through careful      planning, ongoing communication and conscientious site management, C3      Construction didn’t disrupt any neighboring offices or tenants during the BGCMPs      dental clinic project.

Through the collaboration of C3 Construction, The BCA Companies, the BGCMP and the City of Phoenix, many families are now able to receive both general dental care and oral surgery in this beautiful and inviting dental clinic.

“While this was the first time I’d been privileged to work with the Boys and Girls Club organization, it won’t be the last,” explains Westmoreland. “They are a well run organization with a great construction management team that is solutions oriented, experienced and fair.

Personally, it felt good to be involved in a build that you know will make a tremendous difference in the lives of young children and families that would otherwise go without,” he added.

C3 Construction is dedicated to serving and improving the lives of families and businesses in our communities. To learn more about our passion and expertise, or discuss your upcoming medical facilities build, call 602-222-8866 today.

C3 Construction Overcomes Tight Timelines And Building Obstacles

C3 Construction Overcomes Tight Timelines And Building Obstacles To Keep Clients Working Without Interruption
Entertainment, Industrial and Office Project Turnarounds Exceed Expectations

Most construction companies would balk at the thought of completing 29,000 square feet in 60 days, working through the night, or trying to keep a kitchen open during a restaurant remodel. However, at C3 Construction, these types of building and scheduling challenges are typical for its experienced team and eagerly tackled. Recently, several C3 Construction clients in the entertainment, industrial and office industries were delighted to witness C3 Construction’s prowess first-hand.

THE PROJECTS

• Regus Group Network 32,020 Square Foot Executive Suite Remodel
• Café 87 and Four Peaks Restaurant Remodels at Ft. McDowell Casinos
• EDI – Eberle Design Inc. 29,983 Square Foot New Build

THE CHALLENGES

• No aspect of the Regus Group Network’s executive suite remodel could occur during the work day or disturb employees productivity
• Guests still needed to eat despite Café 87 and Four Peaks’ remodel process
• EDI’s high-end industrial manufacturing facility required a 60-day turnaround

THE RESULTS

• C3 Construction partnered with Mandy Bridges of Thomas Alden Edson Architects to complete the complex remodel of Regus Group Network’s executive suites. Through constant communication and meticulous planning, they coordinated every aspect of the remodel and subcontractors’ schedules so the executive suites remained usable during the entire day. They moved Regus Group Network employees out in the evening, remodeled overnight, and then moved employees back in the very next morning, without disturbing a minute of their regularly scheduled workday.

C3 Construction and Tom Dwyer of TAD Architecture partnered to install dramatic new LED lighting, luxurious wood ceilings and bamboo floors as well as customized doors, new booth seating and tables. To minimize inconvenience to guests, C3 coordinated with the casino’s operations staff to keep the kitchen open and serve guests in other areas throughout the remodel process. Ft. McDowell Casino guests can now enjoy daily dining at Café 87 and a distinct fine-dining experience at Four Peaks restaurant.

• To build a large, high-end industrial manufacturing facility from the ground-up, in just 60 days, was a challenge C3 Construction welcomed.
